  • Click on “Member Portal” – located at top of screen on right hand side next to the social media icons
  • A new screen will come up saying “UN1ON Member Hub.”
  • Username is “First name.last name” example: Jane.Smith
  • Please enter your Password

How do I fill out a union form/card and become a member in good standing?

CUPE’s mandate is that all members sign a Membership Form/Card to be considered a member in good standing. This signed document allows members to attend meetings, have the authority to vote in elections or on motions.

What is CUPE, CUPE Ontario and CUPE 4156? and what does it mean to me?

The Canadian Union of Public Employees is Canada’s largest union, with 700,000 members across the country. CUPE represents workers in health care, emergency services, education, early learning and child care, municipalities, social services, libraries, utilities, transportation, airlines and more. We have more than 70 offices across the country, in every province.

CUPE Ontario is the political wing of the Canadian Union of Public Employees—Canada’s largest union—in the country’s largest province. With over 280,000 members, CUPE Ontario is a strong voice for rights and fairness for our members and our communities. We work at the provincial level for legislative, policy and political change on issues affecting public services, equality, healthy communities and a better Ontario for everyone.

CUPE Local 4156 represents approximately 1,700 members who work for the District School Board of Niagara. Our members hold a diversity of jobs, providing a wide range of services for our students and staff. Our members consist of school secretaries, librarians, computer technicians, educational assistants, designated early childhood educators, maintenance and property services staff, caretakers, payroll and purchasing services staff as well as school support staff.
